High intelligence and children with ADHD. Novocherkassk 2021

High intelligence and children with ADHD.
Children with high intelligence have learning difficulties or attention problems but have exceptional academic ability in at least one studding area.
For example, a child with high intelligence may score 99% on a verbal language test and have a poor processing speed score.
In contrast, have advanced conceptual math skills but struggle to write clear written work that needs the basic requirements for their classwork’s.
What happens when a highly Intelligent Child Has ADHD?
The child is gifted with his ability to grasp complex concepts, engage in critical thinking, and communicate his knowledge and understanding orally, but a child's test scores reflect only average (or even below average) academic performance. Without a clear understanding of the impact of ADHD symptoms and factors such as motivation, attention to detail, persistence, organization, parents and teachers are frustrated with grades.
Worse, poor academic performance prevents them from gaining one of the things that children need most in school: recognizing their strengths and accessing classes and activities that challenge and utilize their exceptional intelligence.
